Mykonos, Greece
"And you will go to Mykonos with a vision of a gentle coast"
-Fleet Foxes, "Mykonos"
Mykonos was my first of many mini weekend trips I am planning to go on while in Greece. This island sits in the Aegean Sea and is one of Greece's most popular islands for obvious reasons...
Mykonos has four white windmills overlooking the Sea which makes sense since the island is nicknamed, the island of the winds.
There are gorgeous souvenirs everywhere! My favorites are the beach-themed souvenirs and of course the postcards. I love to collect them from almost everywhere I go to send to family members I wish were there to experience everything with me.
The streets were gorgeously detailed with blues and whites and pink flowers. Even the ground in Mykonos was prettier than any normal, old ground!
The sunset was lovely, and it was even more enjoyable while eating fried calamari and bread with hummus.
Wherever I go though, the people I go with really make or break the trip. I love that I've met such a fun group of girls here in Greece to explore and make memories with. (Click on the images above to enlarge or to read the descriptions for each.)
