Bring on the New Year
Model: Brie Tofaute
My only New Years resolution for 2016 was to be able to touch my toes when I stretched and look how far that's gotten me!
I'm now dating my best friend. I completed my first year of college with straight As. I've lived in a foreign country where they speak a different language...by myself! My childhood best friend is not my enemy after rooming with her for a year (many people said she would be - we did it Stacy). I scuba dived in the ocean. I've explored 9 countries and several different states (I'm counting the Vatican as its own country because it is). I tried new foods. I met and made many new friends. I bungee jumped for the first time. I managed to plan successful trips to new countries (a personal win for me after following my dad around for 19 years). I (partially) learned a new language and plan on continuing to do so this year. And finally, I am able to touch my toes when I stretch!
2016 was a great year and I attempted to live it to its fullest while surrounding myself with the best people. I praise God for my many blessings this year and look forward to what He has in store for me in 2017.
"'For I know the plans for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.'" Jeremiah 29:11
