Φίλη is Friend in Greek

Downtown Athens

No matter where you are or what you're doing, it's the people you surround yourself with that make or break any situation. Friends have the potential to influence your life and change it for the better. They cheer you up when you're sad, and are there for you when life gets rough.

Friends are especially essential when you are alone, 7,000 miles away from your home, and living on your own. They're the best distraction when I'm homesick, and the ones I turn to when I need a good laugh.

And the best ones know exactly what you like and need. Just look at this amazing scrapbook (pictured below) my Greek friend, Neya, made me of all our adventures and greatest moments together through my first semester living in a foreign country and her first semester of college. I love her! ...and all my friends for that matter, so thanks for the good times and best memories, everyone.
