Hawaiian Christmas
In Hawaii, our Christmas mornings look a little different...
If you want to sit on Santa's lap to tell him what you want this year, you'll find him by the pool instead of at the mall...

And here Santa doesn't come by sleigh, but by a canoe instead to deliver presents to all the good little boys and girls...
But some things remain the same no matter where you are. The locals still cozy up in their winter, caps even on the beach!

Some Christmas traditions live on, like the infamous candy cane cake, even in the absence of sugar at the only Target on the island.
And you can bet you'll still see Christmas trees and lights everywhere you go.
So while a little different, we still were able to celebrate with the ones we love and got to enjoy many Christmas traditions, like a Christmas Eve candlelit church service and opening presents and stockings on Christmas morning. And when all is said and done, I loved my green and bright Christmas by the sea and wouldn't have wanted to trade it for anything else this year. How did you celebrate this wonderful holiday?
Mele Kalikimaka, everyone!
